Na dana\u0161nji dan, 29. listopada 1984. godine liverpulska grupa Frankie Goes to Hollywood objavila je \u010duveni album “Welcome to the Pleasuredome” (ZTT \/ Island), dvostruku plo\u010du koja i danas slovi za jedan od najboljih debija svih vremena.<\/p>\n
Najpoznatije pjesme s albuma svakako su “Two Tribes”, naslovna “Welcome to the Pleasuredome”, vje\u010dna balada “The Power of Love” te sinonim za osamdesete, kontroverzni hit “Relax”, skladba koja je nedugo nakon objave 24. listopada 1983. postala gej-himna. No ne treba smetnuti s uma ni odli\u010dne obrade pjesama “War” grupe The Temptations, “Ferry (Cross the Mersey)” sastava Gerry and the Peacemakers te fantasti\u010dnu Springsteenovu “Born to Run”.<\/p>\n
Bend je u doba izdanja albuma “Welcome to the Pleasuredome” djelovao u sljede\u0107oj postavi: Holly Johnson (vokal), Paul Rutherford (prate\u0107i vokal), Brian Nas (gitara), Mark O’Toole (bas) i Peter Gill (bubanj). Fenomenalnu produkciju potpisuje slavni Trevor Horn.<\/p>\n
“Welcome to the Pleasuredome” punih je devet godina bio najprodavaniji britanski debitantski album u povijesti, sve dok ga 1993. nije smijenio “Suede” grupe Suede. Poslije izdanja “Welcome to the Pleasuredome” sastav je objavio jo\u0161 samo jedan studijski album, “Liverpool” (1986. godine), dobar ali ipak znatno slabiji od debija. Pamtimo ga po hitu “Rage Hard”.<\/p>\n
